➡️ LEARN CHESS WITH ME:
I get many questions about chess openings for beginners, intermediate, and advanced level players. In this video I share what openings I think work best across the rating ladder. London, Stonewall, Sicilian, Caro Kann, and many others are featured.

Thanks very much for this great video. I have been looking for a simple but effective Black Opening, and started using King's Indian today. (P4 W3 L1) So far so good. Thanks Levy!
idk why but i am like 700 but play both the danish abd the vienna

Love you Gotham. You are doing a great job
What about Kolle Zuckertort? Recommended by Judith Polgar has served me well. As black D5 against anything. Against d4 i play kolle zuckertort reversed, against e4 its a scandi.
Beginner W:
London System (0:40),
Stonewall (1:53),
e4 principles/Fried Liver (2:37)
Beginner B:
Kings Injun (4:18),
Scamdinavian Defense (5:32),
Sissy Lee Ann Dragon (6:34)
Intermediate W:
Gambits (7:23),
Vienna/Vienna Gambit (8:10),
Closed Sicilian (8:45),
Advanced Caro-Kann (10:08)
Intermediate B:
Caro-Kann (10:28),
Dutch Defense (11:04),
Traxler+Sneaky stuff (12:23),
Stafford Gambit (13:12)
Theres 2 things I cant stand in this world.. People who are intolerant of other peoples cultures and the dutch.
Is there a defense black can play against any white opening
The London is my favorite opening with white
Try the Baccha Defense by white, purely invented by me..
im tired of this man saying beginners are 1100 when im sitting here at 600 playing againts people who are mastering openings lol
Love you videos
Much love from South Africa.
werfmkkkkkd
thank u so much for ur amazing video
New sub here I'm 1100 need to learn more
And once you hit 3865 like Hans, the chess will speak for itself.
I've tried King's Indian a lot, but what ends up happening is my knight gets no free squares, meaning both my bishop AND my knight are kinda just locked in place
When i try the birds opening and cecilian defense my winning rate went up i always do the dragon cecilian to put pressure on my enemy thinking what next move while already have pre move😂😂❤
Me ranked at 1300…. chess database….neeehh I just stick with @gothamchess videos 😀
Best opening:
The bong cloud
Sodium attack
I tried to learn but after 17 minutes of ads i gave up
I've gotten to 1800 but I have no knowledge of theory or openings.
That thumbnail is gonna be my wallpaper, deal with it.
My favourite opening is when my opponent plays pawn to c3 and pawn to b4
You might have your king checked by the bishop in the light square in just a first few moves, hence resulting to you not being able to castle
This is so good! very useful for someone who doesn't like studying theory 😀
Please help lol.. my puzzle rating is 2100 but my rapid rating is only 1200… and I’m having a real hard time getting to at least 1800.. when I play in person I seem to do extremely better than on my phone or computer I seem to get tunnel vision on the phone and computer..
But do you have any advice at all that can help me get up to a higher level.. I’ve been playing for 20 years and feel like I’ve hit the plateau but I don’t understand why I can solve 2000 rated puzzles in seconds but I drop the ball in the real games and blunder atleast for computer and phone games
hahahaha the thumbnail is hilarious!!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life
Hey I once watched the fried liver video and played the attack every time as white
Instead of developing the bishop in the fried liver take the pawn if they are too caught up in getting big points early it’s checkmate after 5. KxF7 QF6
Also English is great for beginners because no one knows what to do with black. I’ve won every game so far because they push D4 not E4. It’s losing if you don’t take and hard to turn around, so cxd4 is critical. Every opponent has taken with the Queen entering the Anglo Scandinavian defence. After Queen takes next move is always to get the queens knight out and go from there
I have a really good opening it was played by hikaru and it's a free win
It goes e4
e5
Ke2
I beat a 1750 as an 1100 using the London system once so how do you know which opening will be the most effective against your opponent?
8:15
I have test today what am i doing here 😅😅
I'm fine with clickbait but please don't use thumbnail like this, I was drinking water 😂 😂
but when playing the london u have to get rid of the f6 knight so queen can come in
12:06
eee i dont think what you show is a stafford gambit…
That thumbnail 😳
Brother LEVY, as my view you are a Gem.💎 I wouldn't say thanks, take love from me(for this beautiful video)❤️
so usually, I read thumbnails first, and when I read it and saw the image I thought he had gone crazy or confessed to someone or something, but when I lead the title, I was like OHHHHHH
When i play Kings Indian against e4 my Knight on f6 gets attacked. That's the only problem I'm having now
Im 600 and ive been playing the vienna but i really like the queens indians idea so imm learn that great video levy 👍
learning openings is cheating, stealing the moves of people centuries deseaced, its no different than stealing a pharaoh's tomb, and its about time society sees it for what it is
Thx Gotham. I recently demoted to 1067 from 1200+, and the London System is confusing my opponent so much that it takes them 2 minutes to think of their next move.
I won my 1600 game with this😊
When I first started playing chess my coach taught me to play the Italian, i never knew there was so many different openings for Chess though
As someone who’s studying your G6 course, I appreciate the love
