Despite the results I still agree with this assessment

Magnus was correct about everything else, and you all point to Guke doing better than expected.
We also don't know the distribution across a hundred parallel realities here either. Perhaps in 99 of those Guke loses, but we happen to find ourselves in the 1 he won.
I'm happy Guke won and was rooting for him as the tournament went on. I was hoping for Naka at the outset but would have been happy for any of the top four.
If we're being honest here, we should point out that overall Magnus was extremely accurate in his predictions. I can't tell if you all understand that but are just having some fun with his one prediction that didn't come to pass, or if you honestly believe what you say and selectively ignore that he was more or less completely accurate with 7/8 predictions.

It's funny how people want to point out Magnus's prediction here rather than taking Gukesh's win as a testament to how much he has grown. Come on, no one expected him to come out on top, let's be honest here. Nevertheless, it was majestic to witness that happen.

Interesting video. I think the predictions were fairly on par with what happened. I wonder if Gukesh was influenced or not by Magnus' predictions aka The Hawthrone Effect. He tried harder to defeat the prediction.

Not a bad list he was actually quite accurate with most players, what he failed to realize were the throw matches the two other indians would do inorder to get one of them to win.
