The Superbet Chess Classic is a 10-player classical round-robin taking place in the Sheraton Bucharest Hotel in Bucharest, Romania from 5-14 June 2021. It’s the first stage of the 2021 Grand Chess Tour, a series of five events with a total prize fund of $1.275 million.
In Bucharest the players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. Official website: grandchesstour.org

Are engines really that good? If you can beat Stockfish consistently on Level 4 in 10 min. games, does that mean you are getting close to a 1600 level as a player?
I was playing in an online tournament, and this one opponent had me completely paralyzed. Usually I don't look at the rating once the game starts, but after 10 moves I did, he was 400 points below me! He proceeded to crush me. Next day I got a message informing me the opponent used an engine and they were reversing the results of the game.
If it's french defense and it falls, then the opposition should be called german attack
Why to play the french defense. It's so constricted , you hardly can move your pieces specially on the queen side.

The French Defence is a horrible opening, imo. That locked-in queen Bishop causes all sorts of opening problems for black in many lines.
As the Man says, the game suddenly changes gear and Fabiano is suddenly in a much better position, and the move seemed to come out of no where. Very instructive game, thanks Agad.
