This is a great chess opening for beginners and intermediate players: The Scandinavian Defense. The strategy, tactics, and tricks are great.

Devious mind i like it.
6:22 but if for example I do play against 2200 (and not a cheater obviously.. ) what should I do next?
Dumb question: at 22:43 why not Nxb4? It seems like a free pawn so what's the reason not to take it?
Ooops, I was looking for Sicilian, sorry 😢.
625k to over 3.5 mil in 2 years dang
why do I have to move my light squared bishop into such a dangerous territory and practically sacrifice it. wouldn't it be better to just put it on d2?
15:25 Opponent: well, my book knowledge and the opening was perfect, time to play myself and crush
The good thing about Scandinavian as a beginner, is that it's a kinda forcing opening and a clear answer to 1.e4 that brings your white opponent directly into territory where you might be much more well prepared. So basically at low level you can prepare Scandinavian as your main weapon against 1.e4 (and also in the process of learning Scandinavian you gain a very important skill in chess of how not to blunder your queen to all variety of attacks, pins and traps), and not fall deep into many neutral openings where white has an initiative of choosing which way they go.
Somebody managed to checkmate me in six moves today with the scandinavian defense where they dont take the pawn. Somebody is cheating i think
I've won a lot of beginner games with this Scandi-Reverse Lonfon.
How to crush with my 2 inch punisher next please
Rrahmani is from Kosovo 🇽🇰
Can someone explain why T 24:02 did the opponent take first with the queen and then the pawn.. didnt gotham give him a free knight if he just took with pawn?
15:13 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ok but my opponent kept on attacking my queen what should i do?
What if they push the pawn ?
I don't like this opening, it breaks the principle of not bringing your queen out early, and it essentially just gives white a bigger lead in development if they shove the queen back to her home square
help, i don't understand why b4 is a good move, i just see it as a hanging pawn
Very interesting opening. I went from 1400 to 1700 using this. Must be a very solid opening for black.
7:25 you have to castle slong
I am watching it to counter the Scandinavian Defence,i am very annoyed !!
Are the Moves still in the description? I don’t know if I’m missing it but I don’t see them.
6:26 They won’t be playing a cheater nor a grandmaster, just someone that hates the Scandinavian with passion . (213)
levy i have a question… when white b4 is played why do you not take with the Knight?
I played this accidentally and now play it in every one of my games
Help, whenever i play the scandanivan, white always responds with the queen defwnding the pawn on the second move, its so annoying cuz i dont know what to do, (im around 650 elo)
How to crash this defence?
You don't know the Andersen variation?
west elm caleb
Why is b4 a good move at 9:42 ?
Therapist: Viking Levy isn’t real he can’t hurt you
Viking Levy:
Why didn't Aiden take C6? 😭
As a newbie, I find playing Black is like learning to throw left handed.
Levy: they can block with the rook
Also levy: idk that just looks stupid, that’s my evaluation
"I almost didn't want to take it "
15:15 but I'll take it immediately
😂😂
Aidan is the king of blunders
Why not …Nxb4 followed by …e6? (at 22:53)
Then you long castle you do move your king to b8?Is it a good move or not?
7:23 …and castles shlong…
After Knight c3 I usually play queen e5 check
Nut
For anyone wondering about Levi's reference to the "Kloosterboer Gambit" it's essentially the Danish Gambit reversed.
Why is this considered a defense and not a gambit? The central idea is to sac the queen’s pawn for early central Queen action.
« A very natural move for black H6 » if black sees it, you loose
I’m like below 400 and i will be doing the grandmaster g4 pawn knight and bishop attack now that you’ve told me the best way to defend against that position in the Scandinavian Defence
Edit: call me a cheater
omg gotham i love you so much yu are very helpful and funny i went from200 elo to 1123elo in only five month because of you i love you keep going😍🥰
1:54 there are 4… actually
I like to play QE6 check
12:23 reminds me of the ape that says "oh no" in planet of the apes lmao (https://youtu.be/FCy9A-nfj24)
I love your videos ❤
2200, or a cheater
What if I actually listened to you for once Gotham?? 🧐🧐🧐
