Google HQ in London will host the semi-final, and the final will be held at the Olympia Conference Centre in Kensington.
The matches consist of eight games, two classical (worth 6 points), two Rapid (4 points) and four Blitz (2 points). In case of a tie, a rapid mini-match (10+5) and an Armageddon (5 vs 4) will be played.
The prize fund is $300,000 with a first prize of $75,000, plus another $100,000 and $50,000 respectively for the top two in the overall 2018 Grand Chess Tour standings. Players receive 100 minutes for 40 moves then 60 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second delay from move 1, for the Rapid (25+5) and the Blitz (3+2). (1)

Agad seems to be watching a lot of Marvel movies lately…
I was making sure to watch the life stream of these world champions' games, then I realized that I can watch the game with analysis immediately after it ends from Agadmator's Chess Channel, I'll save my time, see some photos, and most importantly with no headache.
another marvel title reference! yes please!!! thank you #agadmator 😂😂
I think AlphaZero is going to get humanity out of the boring phase of chess with all these draws.
what if queen captures bishop
I have the solution to classical chess. Eliminate increments. There will be far more wins and losses immediately.
Losing the Grand Chess Tour with a move like Qf5 is unacceptable I think. I don't know what MVL was thinking. He should have won the first classical game anyway.
Please upload Santhosh vidit vs eccleston game
A 5:10 I was thinking Kh2 threatening g4 winning the queen. But the queen gets away after Kh2, Bxd4; g4, Be5+; Nxe5, Qxe5+.
Nh6+
People are too afraid to sac an exchange of their queen for tempo and position. In this game the queen was trapped and agadmator missed pawn g4 to completely trap the queen and win it. Max should have traded the queen for 2 minor pieces and a pawn because he positioned his pieces to make his queen a liability. Remember the queen is only 1 piece with the value of 3.
P.s black has a strong attacking position if he takes later with queen g3 after pawn take bishop take on d4. After king takes knight you can begin activating your king. King moves then you can begin activating your entire position. You're down 4 material for a lot of activity and white needs to play careful to win
Remember you're vs nakamora so it's not like being down a pawn vs carlsen.
Dear Antonio, do you think that the idea of having the players compete in Chess960 is a good idea? Some people propose to give the players some time to study the placement of the pieces and then play the game. Sorry for using the suggestion hashtag without any game suggestion 🙂 Maybe it's time for a Q&A video! Take care mister! #suggestion
This isn't a real #suggestion , but i'm learning the london system, and i would be really happy if you could analyze a pro match when that opening is played. Thank you very much for your videos anyway😊
Love the page, JUST FEELS LIKE BLITZ IS STUPID AND A WASTE OF TIME.
Could someone explain to me the diffrence between a rabid game and a blitz game, trying to expand that vast knowledge
7:07 what about g5 with the pwan instead of rook to d8?
I read about a chess game for Napoleon against a machine maybe you could do it for us
Fact: Thumbnails= spoilers= results.
Bishop is undefended. why cant he capture?
hey guys im new to chess and I learned openings, endgames and im doing pretty well so far but i have one problem: a lot of opponents in real life are first taking the center and first bringing out 5-6 pawns then they trade pieces and in the end they have advantage my pawns aren't moved that much any tips please???
Please guys explain me something.
At 5:36 the best moove for me seems to be "Pion To G4 " to trap the black Queen.
Why not? Explain me bro please
and at 8:43.. why did he resigned when he can just grab the Beshop with the Queen? Please explain me ahah I dont understand
You should do this one. Kavalek vs fisher 1967. Brilliant game!

5:42 I found the move 😀
Its time for fishers random
No, I don't wanna kill anyone. Ok, deactivating instant kill
#suggestion Magnus's new rap song lol
7:07 can the move g5 save mvl's queen?
@7:23 if the queen capture the knight followed by bishop…it will be an trade of two pieces for queen….can some one point out if I am missing something.
Why dont you just play pawn g4 at 7:03?
Bishop to g4 doesn't trap the queen, can't the queen just take the bishop?

You should make the board flash each time you explain what could have been done by a player so we don't lose track of the game.
Has anyone noticed agadmator using Marvel quotes for his recent videos? I can tell he's already very excited for End Game!
"Activating instant kill." – Spider-Man
"I can do this all day." – Captain America
"You should've gone for the head." – Thanos
"I have a plan. Attack." – Iron Man
8:40 : why doesn't Queen take the Bishop?
Do WEI YI vs Firouzja from Asian Championship!
The end to this game was so beautiful! To have 2 pawns and 2 bishops cover ALL 8 squares on the 5th rank is a thing of beauty. The St Louis crew were going crazy, and it was such a memorable finish. This is chess!
A odakle si ti?
You have to visit the Grand Chess Tour tournament next year!
Bro! what happends if Maxime take the light bishop on this position?
Hmmm my guess was g4, not Bishop to e2. I’m probably missing something extremely obvious here. Can someone explain? Thanks!
wow nice
At 5:40 why not pawn G4?
Sir we don't need subtitles it covers the board feels irritating thanks!
Anyone explains to me why knight to e6 wasnt a good idea at 7:58?
What happens if Q Takes Bg4
I mean, hasn’t that always been the case though? You look at classic tournaments and all but a couple critical games are drawn. At the highest level the greatest players are determined by the slimmest of margins
Instant kill. Chess or Plants vs Zombies? Ch ch cherry bomb.
I thought pawn to G4 was a better attack on the queen to immediately win it, no?
U gave me spoiler endgame ..
Why not take Bishop with the queen? Sure, White knight will take the rook..but it's still playable,,,right?…
..
..guys?
